The Wi-Charge's charging system uses ceiling transmitters to convert energy into infrared light, which covers about 50 square meters below. Receivers attached to or built into electronic devices can capture infrared light and then convert it into energy. Even if the device manufacturer does not integrate the infrared light receiving device directly into a smartphone or wireless speaker or keyboard, the infrared light receiver can be easily configured through a compatible box or other adapter.

The Wi-Charge team said that although infrared light charging is very powerful, it also needs to ensure safety. This device does not generate electromagnetic radiation, so it is equally safe even for people who have a pacemaker. When your body or other object blocks the beam, charging is blocked.
Wi-Charge still has a long way to go before it can be used on a large scale. The company said that its first smart home product will be available in mid-2016, and this smart home transmitter can be plugged into the wall. His price is between 50 and 100 dollars. Although people always keep the state of charge they dream of, Wi-Charge is not suitable for all devices.
