Hot extrusion is the principle of using plastic material to deform. The mold is used to make the blank in a hot state with a certain shape, thin thickness and performance. It is a complex process of plastic deformation and flow deformation.

Process analysis of titanium alloy extrusion technology:

(1) The blank has high precision and no draft angle. It is necessary to have a good tooling design structure to ensure smooth mold release after blank extrusion.

(2) The parts are thin-walled parts, and the wall thickness is uniform. Not only the quality of the extruded blank is high, but also the cooling lubrication state and the demoulding speed of the blank forming are higher.

(3) During the extrusion process, the billet is susceptible to heat unevenness during hot working, and the temperature difference between the center position and the surface layer is large, causing cracking of the parts.

(4) Extrusion of the scale is too thick, difficult to remove and other factors, resulting in large gaps in the mouth of the blank, surface pits, road lines and other defects, resulting in insufficient machining allowance for parts.

(5) The extruded part is gradually thinned during the extrusion process, and is easily broken or longitudinally cracked and surface peeling occurs.
