The high temperature days in central and eastern Jiangxi, central Zhejiang, and northwestern Fujian reached 6-8 days. . Affected by sustained high temperature, the pollen activity of early rice at the heading and flowering stage decreased, which was unfavorable for pollination. The early rice in the milky stage was insufficiently filled, the filling period was shortened, and some areas experienced mild high temperature ripening. Compared with the high temperature in the southern region in the same period of last year, in 2010, there were persistent high-temperature weather in Jiangnan and South China since June 30, and the high temperature appeared in a wide area, covering almost all the early rice growing areas in the south of the Yangtze River and South China (Figure 2); Since the beginning of the month, there has not been any obvious high temperature weather in central and western China.
