Graphic explanation: 16 steps for the correct laying of tiles

Fill sand as the bonding layer material for laying tiles, pay attention to the sand should be selected more uniform, it is best not to have large agglomeration.

Smooth the sand, put the tiles on top, and take care to remove the small lumps on the flat side. The material of the bonding layer should be uniform and firm. The thickness of the bonding layer should be 20-35mm; the bonding layer and the ceramic tile should be paved at the same time, and the cement paste or dry mud sprinkling should be used for bonding when paving.

Carefully place the vitrified tile on the base layer. Note that it is flush with the previously laid tile. Compare the color difference or size of the tile.

Use a rubber mallet to gently tap and position the tile. Do not use strong force. If the bonding layer is uneven, remove the tile and re-level it. Now look at whether there is no plate between tiles, the plate thickness varies, the size of the error is large, or laying out affect the appearance.

The wood is used to check whether the tiles are laid according to the established height. The device at the entrance is actually set to locate the height of the tile in order to match the height of the outside floor.

Now dock the tiles together on the bonding layer to determine the height of the patchwork and the tiles on the bonding layer, so that it is sure when laying.

When cement is mixed and cement mortar is used to bond the layers, the volume ratio of the cement sand should be 1:4-1:6, and the mixture should be mixed with water and 425 cement should be used.

Put the cement on the back of the tile and remove the floating soil on the surface of the tile before putting on the cement so as not to affect the cement's bonding ability.

The cement on the back of the tile should be evened out and smoothed. Whether or not this step is performed is one of the key conditions for whether the floor tile is hollowed out.

The paved tiles should be smooth, straight and inlaid correctly. After each tile is inlaid, use a rubber mallet to gently tap on the four corners and center of the tile to ensure that the brick body is in full contact with the cement mortar, and the tiles and the ground are leveled The width of patchwork between porcelain plates should meet the design requirements. When the design is not specified, the patchwork width should not be greater than 1mm.

It should be noted that the tile on the floor drain must first leave some space around the hole and do not paint the cement. Therefore, it is normal for us to feel a little empty drum beside the floor drain.

After the tiles are laid as before, pick up the floor drain, cement on the back of the floor drain, and finally embed the hole in the tile. Pay attention to not too much cement, otherwise it may plug the ground and leak.

Similarly, tapping with a rubber mallet taps tightly. Finally wipe the spilled cement.

Tiles are laid on the corners of the wall to measure the size of the wall.

Match the size to the tile and mark it with a pencil.

The tiles were fixed and cut with a cutter while cooling with cold water.
