Cinnamaldehyde: Beef Breeding

For beef cattle breeding, the vast majority of the domestic use of fertilizer additives to improve economic efficiency. However, the accumulation of various additives in the body to harm the human body has also been increasingly concerned. Abroad, there have been cattle breeding experts launched a green addition to the breeding of beef cattle, no longer blindly pursuing fat, but from the perspective of improving overall production performance. The research results show that the cinnamaldehyde (CIN), a spice raw material that is completely harmless to the human body, can effectively inhibit the fermentation of bovine rumen microorganisms, thereby exerting a positive effect on the production performance of cattle and improving the benefits.

At present, Hebei Bangfu Technical Service Center has conducted a test of cinnamaldehyde in the production of beef for cultivation based on foreign research. In this experiment, 70 bulls of about one year old weighing 390±25.2 kg were randomly divided into five treatment groups: control group (without additives), monensin group (MO; 330 mg per cow per day), and The three treatment groups were cinnamaldehyde groups, and the cinnamaldehyde contents were 400 mg, 800 mg, and 1600 mg per day per cow respectively. At the beginning of the trial, all cows were housed in 5 cowsheds, each with 14 cows. The cow's diet contains 9% of barley silage, 86% of steam-compressed corn, and 5% of additive (in dry matter). The results of the trial showed that the addition of a small dose of cinnamaldehyde to the feed of the bred cattle in the first month of the experiment increased the intake of beef cattle and improved the production performance of the cattle. The addition of cinnamaldehyde to the early diets of bred cows can increase the performance of beef cattle and reduce the stress of beef cattle.
