All the drainage wells in the main road of Ningbo downtown are equipped with protective nets.

On May 14, the Ningbo City Urban Management and Drainage Company released information. At present, the drainage manhole protection network on the main roads in Jiangdong District and Jiangbei District has all been installed. There are more than 1,000 manholes in Haishu District are in full swing. It is expected that by the end of May, the drainage manhole protection network will achieve full coverage of the main downtown road.

It is understood that the Ningbo Urban Management Bureau Drainage Company started installing protective nets for drainage wells as early as 2009. Since March of this year, the company has completed the installation of new wells on the roads such as the newly-accepted Airport Road, Tongtu Road West Extension, and East Outer Ring Road. Up to now, more than 12,000 protective nets have been installed in 700 mm diameter drainage (sewage, rainwater) wells in the downtown area. According to reports, a corrosion-resistant nylon net is installed on a manhole, and it can carry a weight of 250 kilograms. It is not easy for personnel to fall into accidental injuries.
