Agilent introduces high-speed serial pulse data generator

Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) has introduced the industry's first high-speed serial pulse data generator with an excitation capability of up to 7 GHz. It will help computer and semiconductor test engineers accurately characterize components developed specifically for the next-generation serial bus used in high-speed transmission systems.




Accurate high-speed excitation is critical to ensuring signal integrity. The new Agilent 81141A enables engineers to perform accurate and reliable physical layer testing for the first time by providing accurate low-jitter signals and full control of the data flow in an enhanced test environment. Its linear delay modulation capability supports fast and ultra-precise jitter tolerance and jitter transfer measurements.




Siegfried Gross, vice president and general manager of Agilent's Digital Verification Solutions Division, said: "The combination of multiple data formats (such as RZ, R1 and NRZ with sequencing) and triggering capabilities and high-speed frequencies is unique in the industry, and It is also very important for the next generation of high-speed technology waves.
