The new text requires that if the buyer chooses to return the product due to serious product quality problems, the seller will also be liable for the direct economic loss caused by the buyer in addition to the buyer’s payment. The direct economic loss here refers to transportation costs, transportation expenses, and the like. In addition, the "three guarantees" of furniture is also included in the contract. Furniture companies should take the initiative to sign contracts with consumers at a total price of more than 5,000 yuan. For purchases of less than 5,000 yuan, consumers should not sign a contract if they require a contract. It is reported that starting from May, the provincial institutes and provincial associations will conduct a bottom-up investigation on the implementation of model contracts for furniture stores with the support of relevant departments, and the results will be released to the public.
