Monel (English name MONEL) is a high-nickel alloy material whose main components are 64%~70% nickel and 26%~33% copper. In the metallurgical process, an inter-melting alloy is formed to solidify in a temperature range, and the fluidity is poor, which easily promotes the shrinkage of the dispersion. Since the nickel alloy is easy to inhale, it mainly absorbs gases such as H2 and CO, which further causes dispersion and shrinkage, resulting in defects of "horse honeycomb". Severe people will connect each other through the entire casting. The coarse grains promote the precipitation of dendritic impurities in the grain boundaries, which is a big problem in the casting of Monel. To solve this problem, a series of measures such as advanced vacuum smelting and vacuum casting are currently used. This ensures the quality of the castings of Monel.
Monel alloy forgings are basically made of cast iron, which are forged after heating. The tendency of cracks in hot forging is large. Generally, the medium temperature is aging after cold forging, and the tendency of hot cracking can be solved by using less forging ratio.
