There are two process routes for wet processing and pyroprocessing. A small number of electrolytic aluminum companies use the wet process to treat the waste tank lining. During the treatment process, only the waste refractories in the waste tank lining are treated, and the waste cathode carbon block is not completely detoxified. The “chalco-SPL” technology invented by the Zhengzhou Research Institute has conducted a comprehensive research on the waste tank lining of electrolytic cells from laboratory research to industrial testing, and has formed a mature wet processing technology. The program adopts wet process technology to classify and dispose the waste cathode and waste refractory insulation materials in the waste tank linings in a harmless manner at one time, without generating new hazardous wastes.

The construction of this project has received special attention from the leaders of Chinalco headquarters. The analysis of experimental data shows that after the detoxification treatment, the concentration of fluoride leaching in waste tank liners is 6 mg/L, which is far lower than the national standard of 100 mg/L. It belongs to Class I general solid waste, and it meets national emission standards. , It can also be used as a raw material for industrial production. It can also be used as a raw material for making brick building materials or as a raw material for road filling and backfilling. The cost of the harmless treatment of the production line is greatly reduced as compared with the outward delivery.
