The report quoted Bloomberg news, said the Ministry of Energy in the "Oil Supply Monthly" said that the United States last year's daily export of petroleum products more than the import of 439,000 barrels, and in 2010 the average daily net oil imports was 269,000 barrels. The quantity of gasoline, civilian fuel, and diesel exported by US refineries hit a record, while fuel consumption in the United States has fallen, and at the same time it has more to meet the growing global fuel demand.

The International Energy Agency said on February 10 that demand for oil in Latin America will increase by 2.5% this year, reaching 6.64 million barrels per day, while demand in Europe and North America will decrease by 2.4% and 0.5% respectively. Mexico imported a large amount of oil from the United States in 2011, 44% higher than in 2010. Kohan, a global transportation fuel analyst for the Energy Security Analysis Company, said that the global demand for clean fuels and fuels is increasing, exceeding the growth of production capacity in South Africa and other places. According to data from the Department of Energy, total demand for petroleum products in the United States fell by 9.5% in 2011 to 18.8 million barrels per day. Since gas prices have exceeded US$3.5 per gallon, the highest since 1919, gasoline demand fell 2.9% from a year earlier to 8.736 million barrels per day. Kohan pointed out: "The reason why the United States can export so many petroleum products is that domestic demand is weak."
