In the field of new materials industry, we will focus on the development of five new materials industries, including advanced energy storage materials, advanced composite materials, advanced hard materials, new metal materials and new chemical materials. Advanced energy storage materials. Vigorously develop high-power nickel-hydrogen power batteries, lithium-ion power batteries and their key materials, power battery energy packs for electric vehicles, solar energy, wind energy storage systems and other three major categories of products, leading to the formation of three industrial chains, to achieve annual sales revenue 70 billion yuan.

Advanced composite materials. Vigorously develop 6 kinds of key products such as rare earth high-purity metal, rare metal materials, high-performance magnetic materials, bi-metal composite band saw blades, aircraft and automobile brakes, aluminum deep processing products, titanium deep processing products, etc. The industrial chain realizes an annual sales income of 50 billion yuan.

New chemical materials. Vigorously develop 9 categories of high-grade refining catalytic new materials, lithium-based polymers, special epoxy resins, caprolactams, high-grade coatings and pigments, organic intermediates, polyvinyl chloride and engineering plastics, sodium percarbonate, and new materials for fluorine chemicals. The key products will drive the formation of two industrial chains and realize an annual sales income of 40 billion yuan.

Build two support platforms
Technology innovation platform. Integrate the resources of leading enterprises, universities and scientific research institutions, and establish 15 provincial engineering (technical) research centers, 25 provincial engineering laboratories and key laboratories. On this basis, we will strive to build 10 national engineering (technical) research centers, 15 national engineering laboratories and key laboratories. Relying on key enterprises to form 40-50 provincial-level enterprise technology centers. On this basis, we will support the provincial-level enterprise technology center to apply for the national-level enterprise technology center, and strive for the support of the national special project for innovation capacity building.

Professional public service platform. Relying on the core leading enterprises to promote the construction of public service platforms in the advantageous areas.
