At the same time, in respect of energy conservation and emission reduction, active adoption of new technologies and new processes will reduce energy consumption and emissions, strive to develop a recycling economy, and eliminate backward production capacity.

Future: Supporting the joint restructuring of iron and steel enterprises Xiong Guogang said that the province's steel industry will focus on "emphasizing along the river, optimizing inland, making refined products, and strengthening enterprises", and vigorously promote the realization of the three major economic indicators for the province's steel industry. Three-year plans for double-planning will help to plan the scientific development of the steel industry during the 12th Five-Year Plan period.

The main work content will be included in key steel companies, support and promote the joint reorganization of Xingang, Pingsteel, and Fangda Special Steel in various forms. The goal will be to form a crude steel production capacity that exceeds or exceeds 20 million tons in the domestic top 10 A very large iron and steel conglomerate group with strong competitive strength. At the same time, it supports and guides the province's short-process steel-making enterprises in mergers and reorganizations, and strives to form one or two short-process steelmaking enterprise groups of one million tons or more.

By 2015, the industrial added value will be 30 billion yuan, the main business income will be 200 billion yuan, and the total profits and taxes will be 18 billion yuan, which is more than double the end of the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period.
