Recently, the important direction project of the Knowledge Innovation Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences undertaken by the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was approved by experts.
The expert group believes that this project has made important progress in the design and synthesis of high-performance photovoltaic polymers, the synthesis of new receptors and interface materials, and the production of high-efficiency light-sensitive thin films and large-area devices, laying the foundation for the construction of mass production lines.
The new high-performance organic solar cells have attracted wide attention due to their light weight, good flexibility, and wet processability to facilitate large-area applications. After nearly four years of unremitting efforts, Changchun Yinghua has synthesized a variety of new polymer photovoltaic materials with energy conversion efficiency of up to 8.79%. A variety of fullerene derivatives and several polymer and small molecules have been designed and synthesized. Type and metal oxide type interface materials, and obtained applications; break through the problem of battery efficiency when the battery size is enlarged too quickly paves the way for larger area module preparation.
