It has developed very rapidly in countries such as Sweden, Germany, Japan, and the United States. China has been developing duplex stainless steel since the mid-1970s. Due to the difficulty in the production of duplex stainless steel, it is slow to develop in China. With the production of VOD furnaces and aOD furnaces for stainless steel in China, large-scale vacuum induction furnaces have been put into production in large quantities, which has promoted the development of duplex stainless steel production in China.
