According to the latest statistics released by the American Manufacturing Technology Association (AMT), from January to September 2010, the United States exported a total of 1.5315 billion US dollars of metal processing machine tools, an increase of 23.8% over the same period last year of 1.231 billion US dollars; but imports fell 5.2%; cumulative exports CNC machine tools reached US$661 million, an increase of 31.8% from US$501.4 million in the same period last year. From January to September, the United States exported 1.002 billion US dollars of metal cutting machine tools, an increase of 25.3% over the same period last year of 7.998 billion US dollars; exports of metal forming machine tools 52.96 billion US dollars, an increase of 21.8% over the same period last year of 437.3 million US dollars.
