Guo Kengpeng, professor of the New Material Engineering Technology Research Center of Taiyuan University of Technology, recently introduced in Shenzhen that the new clean gas technology using methanol as the main raw material has been released after many years of research and development. The cost of the mixed gas used by this technology is reduced by one third compared to natural gas. With the promotion and application of new technologies, it will effectively improve the current situation of tight natural gas supply in the "coal to gas" project.
The resource endowment in mainland China is rich in coal, poor gas, and natural gas and other clean energy shortages. In 2017, the external dependence of natural gas was 38%, and it increased to 43.3% in the first half of 2018. Coupled with the limited power grid conditions in rural areas, the contradiction between clean energy supply and demand is becoming increasingly prominent.
Guo Jinpeng introduced that this new technology uses methanol as the main raw material, and under the action of a self-developed catalyst, a liquid synergist with stable performance, high combustion calorific value, safety and environmental protection, and low price is synthesized. The cost of this kind of mixed gas is relatively low, only need to set up a synergist supply base station in the area, and all residents in the area can install a gasification system at their doorstep to obtain gas supply, which is not restricted by the shortage of regions and gas sources. .
"'GSL synergist gasification gas technology' has been tested in Shanxi Province. This time it was chosen to be released in Shenzhen to consider Shenzhen's sense of identity in the field of high-tech innovation." Guo Kengpeng said.
Experts at the meeting believed that the proposal of this new technology "resolving the" gas shortage "with respect to real estate gas" will effectively alleviate the series of safety and economic cost problems caused by the need for gas tank transportation, storage and long-distance laying of special pipelines. It provides a comprehensive solution for rural residents to heat and cook in winter.
