Found that cemented carbide additives help to increase the strength of nanotubes

Japanese researchers have recently indicated that tungsten carbide additions help to increase the strength of carbon nanotube-containing joints.

In recent experiments, Japanese researchers have found that the addition of tungsten carbide additives can help improve their mechanical performance, electrical conductivity, and improve the strength of the original joints.

Under the electron microscope, the new tungsten carbide alloy body uses the multi-walled carbon nanotubes (English abbreviation: MWCNTs) which have been used in the past to effectively improve the conductive transmission performance and realize the nano-scale welding operation.

According to a researcher at the Tsukuba Science Materials Research Institute in Japan, the hardest part of the joint of the alloy body can reach 5 to 15 gigapascals (pressure unit), and the hardness is much higher than the strength of the multi-walled carbon nanotubes used. It is three times higher than the hardness of other materials. With conventional equipment, electrons cannot be successfully transported from the multi-walled carbon nanotube junction under increased voltage conditions.
